At the risk of stating the obvious, Michele loves books, and believes that reading is key to developing empathy, learning about other cultures and perspectives, and broadening our understanding of the world. She loves to do research and help others learn how to identify and analyze reliable sources of information. One of her fondest educational experiences was the opportunity to lead an educational program on the theme of "Literary Ireland," where she traveled with 17 students to visit Dublin, Sligo, and Galway, learning about Irish poets, playwrights, and authors, learning and exploring all things Irish history, art, and culture.
When not holding down the fort in the Bay library, Michele enjoys hanging with her dog, Theo, reading, watching movies, seeing live music, hiking and traveling.
