Visits and Open Houses

The best way to experience life at Bay is to attend our on-campus events. We've added more opportunities to visit in October and November.

Curious about classes? Have questions about athletics? Want to know how we create our amazing community? We have an event for you.

To get the fullest experience of our curriculum and culture, we recommend starting with a morning visit (weekdays) and an open house (weekends). Both of these are open to students and their parents/guardians, with distinct programs for each group. If you want to see more, sign up for one of our interest-based events, like Belonging at Bay. You’ll find descriptions for all the opportunities below. We look forward to welcoming you!

2025–2026 Events

The full calendar and registration for all events is on Ravenna. As registrations fill up, we are adding spaces where possible. We have added a morning visit for October 24, and our remaining Open House events have very few spots left. We recommend registering as soon as possible.

We start the day together in Morning Meeting. Then, students will head off to class with their Bay student host while parents/guardians take a tour and attend a panel discussion about Bay’s one-of-a-kind programs.

Morning visits take place on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 12:30.

Dive into what makes our academic program stand out, like the experience-driven courses of Bay Immersivessm and how our classes are rigorously designed for deep learning. You'll hear from Head of School Luke Felker, Assistant Head of School and Dean of Academics Laila Abdelal McClay, and Bay teachers from all academic departments.

Students get to experience "mini Immersives" at Open House! Come see what a real day in the life is like during these only-at-Bay courses.

Open Houses will take place on selected Saturdays and Sundays, with morning and afternoon programs offered.

Parents/guardians, join us for a morning walk in the Presidio and casual conversation with Bay admissions staff and current Bay parents/guardians. We will host two walks this year on selected Tuesdays; these take place on different days from morning visits.

Parents/guardians are invited to informal receptions at the homes of Bay community members. You can chat with staffulty members, student ambassadors, and current parents/guardians. This is a great opportunity to get your questions about the Bay experience answered.

We will host receptions in Marin and San Francisco, as well as one at Bay prior to winter break.

Bay’s Director of Admissions hosts an hourlong session to outline the process of applying for flexible tuition at Bay and offer insight into the elements that go into making grant decisions.

This virtual event is held in conjunction with Mission Enrollment, a third-party service that reviews all applications for flexible tuition at Bay.

Join our Director of Admissions as she shares informative tips about what makes an effective application and walks applicants and parents/guardians through the process.

Bay is well known for being community-oriented. Come learn about how we create the structures, both formal and informal, and opportunities for every Bay student to find their place and their people.

Join student ambassadors for an evening of games and information about Bay’s student culture. You’ll also meet members of our Student Life Office.

Prospective families are invited to the full dress rehearsal of our fall musical. Bay Theater performances take place at the Southside Theater in Fort Mason.

Attend some of our games and experience what it’s like to be a Breaker fan in the stands and watch our athletes on the court. The games take place at Letterman Gym, up the road from Bay, or our home field, Paul Goode.

If you'd like another chance to ask questions and get more information, join us for an evening reception here on our campus.

Members of our admissions team visit Bay Area schools to hold information sessions for students. A short presentation is followed by time for questions!
