Events

What’s a community without opportunities to gather, celebrate, and nosh together?!

We love events. And since we love them so much, we’ve had a habit of adding more and more of them to the calendar. COVID provided us an opportunity to step back and ensure that our events felt intentional, mission-driven, and inclusive for all. We don’t just want to plan events, we want to nurture our community culture with meaningful opportunities to gather.

Events are hosted by several departments at Bay so this is not an exhaustive list. Here are some Advancement events we look forward to each year:

Help take the heat off of first-day nerves with this pre-back-to-school event for new families. 9th-grade and transfer students can bring their whole family to enjoy a sweet treat and an opportunity to get to know each other before starting school.

We look forward to welcoming parents/guardians and students back for the first day of school with an outdoor morning meeting on Keyes Avenue. When students head off to their first class, parents/guardians are invited to join members of the Bay administration for coffee and a hike led by the Bay Family Association.

An annual tradition at Bay, this new parent/guardian event is the perfect opportunity to mix, mingle, and learn a bit more about Bay. You'll hear from members of the academic and administrative teams, board members, and parent ambassadors from other classes.

In combination with the winter Immersives Exhibition in January, we welcome grandfriends to celebrate their students at Bay.

Before the pandemic, our annual spring event was just like every traditional fundraising auction…fancy dinner, auctioneer, paddle raise, and dance floor. And that was great! But the pandemic gave us a three-year break from Splash to imagine an event where EVERYONE could feel welcomed, included, and excited to support Bay together. Our first re-imagined Bay Splash was an amazing food truck block party on Keyes Avenue. We can’t wait for year two of a community-focused spring event where everyone can bring their authentic selves to the party! We need plenty of parent volunteers for set up/check-in/cleanup.

There’s nothing we love more than celebrating our senior class. More specific information about graduation itself will be released in the spring. This is another great parent volunteer opportunity if you’re a day-of doer.
