The Bay Family Association (BFA) is ours to build and celebrate, and The Bay School is proud to have created a uniquely warm and welcoming environment, as reflected in our mission.

To cultivate and nurture a close sense of community and inclusion
Our connection to Bay ties us together as a community. We are always thrilled to see the response to our requests for volunteers to help us continually foster a strong sense of connection. Events that support our community include the New Parent Dinner, Grandfriends Day, class potlucks, game nights and social hours, hikes in the Presidio, and a variety of community gatherings and celebrations.

We are all part of the learning community at Bay and strive to be curious and open to what we can learn from each other. In our BFA meetings, Immersive celebrations, and Dean’s Nights, we are all enriched by the knowledge and diverse experience of our teachers, deans, school counselors, and guest speakers.

We strive to show our incredible staffulty how much we appreciate all that they do to support our students—particularly during times of challenge, like the pandemic. Our extremely generous parents provide staffulty breakfasts, handwritten appreciation cards, gift cards, and celebrations to appreciate our staffulty throughout the year.
There are so many ways to get involved, and we invite you to participate and share your skills and talents in a way that works with your schedule. Be sure to read The Current, the school’s weekly newsletter, as well as the BFA First Fridays newsletter for the most up-to-date information.
