Why did you choose to attend The Bay School?
I chose Bay because of the strong, supportive community. In addition, I wanted a high school experience that would challenge my understanding of the world.

What has been your favorite class taken at Bay?
Gender in Literature. This class by far had the most dynamic and innovative curriculum. This class challenged my understanding of my own gender identity and how I view gender as a system.

What is your favorite part of the Bay community?
My friends. Through Bay, I was able to find the most supportive, loving group of women to surround myself with.

What has been your most memorable experience at Bay?
I think my first day of school was my most memorable experience. Within 5 minutes of entering the building, I was surrounded by Staffulty and members of the community greeting me and making me feel welcome. It was incredibly overwhelming, but after that morning, I knew I had made the right decision to come to Bay.

How has Bay prepared you for college and life beyond?
Bay has prepared me by teaching me how to think broadly and critically. Going into college and beyond, I know that I will be able to use these skills everyday.

What advice would you give to prospective students who are considering Bay?
Follow your gut. When applying to high school, and now applying to college, I know how easy it is to lose sight of what's best for you. So, the best thing you can do is follow your intuition and listen to what you need.
