Dave Wang - Senior Signature Project Director
B.S., Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Yale University
Dave joined The Bay School in 2004 as its founding math teacher. Before coming to Bay, he spent 15 years at St. Andrew’s School in Delaware, where he taught math, coached volleyball, and held several administrative roles including Math Department Chair and Associate Academic Dean. At Bay, he taught math for the first eight years and also served for a year as interim Academic Dean. In the fall of 2012, he moved into his current position as Director of the Senior Signature Projects program. Dave’s current professional interests include project-based learning, design thinking, and game-playing (both computer and traditional) as a means of instruction. He believes that 10 years from now, America’s collective notion of what constitutes a high school education will have radically shifted, and he wants to be a part of making that shift happen.
