Caitlin King - Humanities
B.A., English; B.S., English Education, Boston University
M.A., Humanities Education, New York University
Caitlin joined The Bay School as a part-time Humanities teacher in late 2015, and she is thrilled to be returning full-time. A Bay Area native and a lover of traveling, she went to college in Boston and studied abroad in Padova, Italy. She started her teaching career in New York City at a large public high school where she taught English in all four grades and started the AP English program. She pursued her Master's while teaching and completed a summer study abroad program on Existentialism in Paris. After ten years on the East Coast, Caitlin returned to the Bay Area and taught English at Leadership High School, a charter school in San Francisco. Before coming to Bay, she had a wonderful five years staying home with her two young children, with whom she speaks exclusively in Italian. She loves the interdisciplinary classes she gets to teach and collaborate on at Bay, but more importantly, she is grateful to the kind, bright, hilarious students who have helped her rediscover her love of teaching.
