Attracted by the quality of the community, by the professionalism and the intentionality of the faculty and by the desire of starting something from the ground up, Nicolas joined The Bay School after 12 years at the Waring School in Massachusetts. At Bay, Nic teaches a variety of science and math courses as well as Freshmen Seminar and Junior Pro Skills. Along with science colleague Nettie Kelly, Nic has helped to run the Tall Ships intersession which teaches students to sail. Nic also enjoys hiking and backpacking. Nic enjoys the students at Bay, whom he calls smart and kind, and he says he loves that we value the whole student’s interest instead of simply filling their mind with facts…that learning here is relevant. Nic is also involved with students in diversity/equity work as well as volunteering as an Academic Coach for First Graduate. Born and raised in France, Nic has the enviable ability to be able to make 100 crepes in 90 minutes!
