Mindfulness strengthens intentionality and determination to achieve one’s goals. The practice of mindfulness — using one’s breath to center and calm, observing one’s thoughts without judgment in order to be responsive rather than reactive — reflects Bay’s commitment to supporting the whole person and building community.
Our daily Morning Meetings always conclude with a mindfulness practice, which helps students focus, reflect, respond to new challenges with purpose, and learn from both triumphs and failures. During this season of distance learning, students and staffulty are invited to gather virtually on Tuesday and Thursday mornings to practice mindfulness via Livestream.
