Denise Blase - Theater Director
B.A., Music and Dance in Religion, Humboldt State University
Denise joined The Bay School in Fall 2017, first as Music Director and now as Bay's Theater Director. She has over 20 years experience as a teacher, actor, musician, and dancer. Denise received her vocal training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and is a graduate of Solano College Theatre's Actor Training Program where she studied acting with Robert Parsons and George Maguire. Before coming to Bay, she was a teaching artist, music director and pianist with San Diego Junior Theatre and Berkeley Playhouse. In addition to her role at Bay, Denise is a teaching artist with A.C.T.'s Youth Conservatory, an instructor at Cazedero Performing Arts Family Camp and teaches voice and piano lessons in her home studio. She is also a performer in the Music Hall at San Francisco's Great Dicken's Christmas Fair. When she's not teaching or performing, Denise enjoys baking pies, sewing, and watching British detective shows with her husband Kyle, their two children Jazzton and Josephine and their dogs, Pip and Zena.
