Our guiding precepts
include valuing a healthy, strong body, and a calm, resilient mind. To put this precept into action, all Bay students are required to participate in physical activities during the fall and spring semesters. Students who do not wish to compete on a team have the opportunity to join in the Bay Activity Program, offering a variety of physical activity classes and programs designed to suit a wide range of interests.
Activity Program classes take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays after school at Letterman Gym, Presidio Community YMCA, and Planet Granite.
Class offerings include CrossFit
, martial arts, rock climbing, yoga, ultimate frisbee, cycling, pilates, and strength training. Additional classes are offered based upon student interests, availability of instructors, and seasonal considerations. All students are required to complete three credits of physical education (0.5 credits per term) through either team sports or participation in the Bay Activity Program to fulfill Bay's graduation requirements.
