Physical Activities Program

The Bay School supports a physical activities program consistent with the school's commitment to a healthy and responsible lifestyle. Bay students are required to participate in an activities class during the fall and spring trimesters if they do not intend to play on a competitive sports team. The classes offer a broad range of physical activities including dance, yoga, martial arts, weight training/fitness, advanced conditioning, rock climbing, and biking and hiking in the Presidio. Through these activities our students experience the many benefits of physical activity and will hopefully adopt and maintain these interests and healthy practices throughout their lives.

  • Fitness/Conditioning: at A Body of Work in the Presidio
  • Dance: at the Presidio Dance Theater
  • Fitness: Strength-Agility and Speed: at the Presidio YMCA Main Post Gym
  • Rock Climbing: at Planet Granite in the Presidio
  • Yoga: at the Presidio YMCA Main Post Gym
  • Tae Kwon Do: at Letterman Gym in the Presidio

Additional activities classes are offered based upon student interests, availability of instructors, and seasonal considerations.

Activity classes meet Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:45-5pm.
