Step 1: Request Information
Please fill out our online inquiry form. Afterwards, we will mail you as soon as possible our admission packet, which includes information about the Bay School as well as application forms.

Step 2: Attend an Open House
Open house events are scheduled throughout the fall admission season. Students and families receive an introduction to the Bay School’s mission and philosophy and a presentation of the school's academic, athletic, and extra-curricular programs. Bay School faculty members will conduct half-hour sample classes. Refreshments will be provided.

Open House Schedule — 2008-2009
Thursday, September 25, 2008, 7-9pm (FULL)
Saturday, October 18, 2008, 1-3:30pm (FULL)
Thursday, November 6, 2008, 7-9pm

Open house reservations may be made beginning on August 1, 2008. Please send an email to admission@bayschoolsf.org to reserve places for you and your family. In your email, be sure to include the student name and parent name(s). In order for us to accommodate as many people as possible, we ask that a maximum of three people (including the student) per family attend.

Step 3: Schedule a Campus Visit and Interview
When we have received Part I of your application, we will contact you to schedule a student visit and interview.

Please note: Although we try to accommodate as many students as possible, visit appointment times are limited, even for applicants. Campus visits are not required to apply for admission, and enrollment decisions will not be affected by whether or not a student has attended a campus visit.

Step 4: Register for the SSAT
All applicants must submit official SSAT score reports. Scores must be sent directly from SSAT to The Bay School Admission Office.

Register online at www.ssat.org or request a registration booklet from the Admission Office. Please be sure to designate the Bay School (code #1500) on the test form.

Step 5: Complete Your Admission Application

Part II: Candidate Application
Includes student essay and information.
The final deadline for Part II and other supporting application materials is Thursday, January 15, 2009.

Have Your Teachers Complete Their Recommendations - Math, English and Principal/Counselor
