Applying to Bay 2010-2011 Academic Year

Bay School of San Francisco campus information

Step 1: Request Information
Please fill out our online inquiry form. We will keep you on our mailing list until September, when we will mail you our admission packet, which includes information about the Bay School as well as paper copies of our application forms.

Step 2: Attend an Open House
Open house events are scheduled throughout the fall admission season. Students and families receive an introduction to the Bay School’s mission and philosophy and a presentation of the school's academic, athletic, and extra-curricular programs. Bay School faculty members will conduct sample lessons. Refreshments will be provided.

Open House Schedule — 2010-2011
Saturday, October 9, 2010, 2 pm
Saturday, November 6, 2010, 2 pm
Sunday, December 12, 2 pm

Open house reservations may be made beginning on August 17, 2010. After you submit the online inquiry, you will have a chance to also indicate which open house you would like to attend. If you previously inquired before August 17, you can RSVP for an open house by sending an email to admission@bayschoolsf.org. In your email, be sure to include the student name and parent name(s). In order for us to accommodate as many people as possible, we ask that a maximum of three people (including the student) per family attend.

Step 3: Schedule a Campus Visit and Interview
When we have received Part I of your application and the visit supplement form (which will be available for download in mid-August), we will contact you to schedule a student visit and interview. You can find out more details about student visits on our student visit program page.

Please note: Although we try to accommodate as many students as possible, visit appointment times are limited. Campus visits are not required to apply for admission, and enrollment decisions will not be affected by whether or not a student has attended a campus visit. Also, please note that we are able to accommodate rescheduled visits if we receive your request in ample time to fill your original spot. Otherwise, we will gladly place you on our visit waitlist.

Step 4: Register for the SSAT
First-year applicants must submit official SSAT score reports. Scores must be sent directly from SSAT to The Bay School Admission Office.

Register online at www.ssat.org or request a registration booklet from the Admission Office. Please be sure to designate the Bay School (code #1500) on the test form.

Transfers should submit official PSAT or SAT test scores.
