The Bay School Board of Trustees is the governing body of the school. Its principal responsibilities are to act as guardian of the school’s mission and to ensure the Bay School’s effective governance and growth, working in close collaboration with the head of school. The comprehensive work of the board is conducted by trustee committees that focus on areas such as the school’s finances, facilities, strategic planning, fundraising, governance and community outreach.

The board is comprised of nineteen current and alumni parents and distinguished community leaders representing a broad spectrum of skills and perspectives.  As the Bay School transitions from a young school to an established school, the members of the board work to preserve the culture of innovation, pioneering spirit and creativity that have been integral to the school’s founding.
