Employment Opportunities at Bay portunities

We seek faculty members who are themselves the life-long learners and independent thinkers we wish our students to become. We are looking for educators who are creative and responsible in their use of time and resources, who possess a clear vision for creating a democratic learning environment and who can translate that vision into practice.

As co-creators of a new high school, our faculty members combine a genuine interest in and affection for adolescents with a robust sense of adventure and enduring good humor. Individual learning styles are valued at the Bay School. Candidates should be knowledgeable in this area and able to demonstrate variety, adaptability and innovation in their teaching and assessment methods. In pursuit of the Bay School’s mission, all faculty members must be comfortable exploring issues of ethics and spirituality and discussing the complex questions surrounding science, technology, culture, and religion in the contemporary world. The preference for regular collaboration with colleagues and the ability to build a supportive and positive community are essential. We seek flexible, open-minded educators committed to ongoing professional growth and reinvention.

The Bay School is deeply committed to having a faculty and student body that reflect the rich diversity within the Bay Area. We strongly encourage candidates of color to apply.
